Jessica Vega

As the founder of Represent! Editorial, Jesi Vega is dedicated to supporting writers of color and amplifying diverse voices in publishing. For over a decade, she has used her platform to promote multicultural storytelling, identity exploration, and cultural hybridity through her work as a writer, editor, and workshop facilitator. Jesi's screenwriting achievements include Jersey Grrrl, an Academy Nicholl Fellowship quarterfinalist screenplay, and Greetings from the Shore, featured at Park City's Digidance Film Festival. In addition to her recent work with the One Table show, she's appeared onstage with Chicago’s Emergence Dance Theater, and Short Bits in Tacoma. Jesi's writings exploring biracial and immigrant identities have been anthologized, published online, and performed live at the Moth and other venues. Her biracial/multiethnic background deeply informs all her work, fueling her passion for exploring voice, identity, and connection in fiction and onstage.
